Workshops on methodology and tools for creating international digital school

Description of the activity

The first meeting for staff is planned for teachers to come together and re-organise the project concreatly. Three teachers from each partner school -
coordinators and leaders engaged in project idea implementation will take part in it. They will meet soon after announcing the project approval. The
Spanish partner provides them necessary information and all guidelines for the implementation on how to use WEB 2.0 tools to conduct a successful,
international digital project class. During the meeting all the tools will be studied, so their proper implementation in project plan will be assured.
Coordinators and teachers will prepare presentations of their schools and the best ways and concrete steps for executing project results will be
discussed. It is crucial for our project success that this planning will be done together according to latest data of each school specific environment
and possibilities. They will agree how to implement the topic and subtopics into applicable activities. It is also valuable for further effective
cooperation that leaders meet and know each other, so stress and any barriers will disappear. After the meeting they will set up the school project
teams consciously. Discussion will help them to make sure steps on programme for the two years, agree on concreto ways of implementation,
methods of dissemination, evaluation. Methods of measuring progress in achieving the targets set out in the plan will be also chosen.
The project deals with common needs, so it makes sense to meet face to face and develop strategies with critical thinking: analyse schools
possibilities comparatively. Apart works mentioned above, host school will organise a seminar by specialist about the topic and report of assessment
will be announced.
Teachers during workshops in multimedia classroom will also join project Twinspace and get familiar with its tools. It will help to prepare ground for
the upcoming work with students. Teachers will learn how to add students to Project Twinspace and try out all the tools available. Coordinator from
Polish school is experienced in such projects, so will provide training for all participants.
A document (poster) about the netiquette of the project will be created.
Besides project studies, host school students and parents will be involved in preparing activities according to topics. They will also cooperate to
prepare cultural program. Guest teachers will observe lesson and get familiar with education system and school curriculum. They will also visit
Valencia’s and nearby UNESCO cultural heritage sites and ”City of the Art and Science”.
Evaluation tools will be prepared and applied by host school. An exchange report will be made on basis of evaluation form, which will include
participants, objectives, level of attainment. It will also cover interpretation of feedback forms, materials used - handouts, presentations, photos of
activities and products created. The main coordinator will use them in the mid-term report.
